In the past few years the amount of UK students has increased. Noticeably from 2013 to 2014 there has been a substantial jump from 20% to 37%.
Some students view this as a unique adventure that could boost their employability as well as help them grow as individuals in a different culture system. The UK students destinations of choice are Australia, United States of America, France, Germany and Canada.
This comes as a result of the increase of tuition fees in the UK. Students are looking for alternatives and are very willing to travel to get these new experiences.
Not only does this have the capacity to learn and adapt to different cultures, its also an opportunity to learn new languages and push students beyond their comfort zones and gain additional academic credits.
Whether students study in the UK or abroad there is still some concerns about the debt that they will incur. Time will tell if this trend continues to increase.
