Supply Teaching Agencies in Louth

Posted on March 31, 2015 at 7:34 pm

Good supply teaching agencies in Louth would be able to work on behalf of both the teacher applicant and the school. All potential applicants are fully vetted when registering with the agency. This is essential for the peace of mind of both the parents and the school. Good agencies conduct interviews face to face with teachers that register with them.

This is considered an essential practice so that the applicant can be accurately matched with the school. Schools and teachers are both assigned an on hand individual consultant to make the entire selection and recruitment process easier to deal with. The teacher supply company deals with all the effort necessary for finding good teachers that can fill a vacancy, which makes teacher recruitment for a school in Louth much easier. This includes providing feedback on behalf of the school and arranging interviews in order to best match the school vacancy to the right person. (more…)

Supply teaching and cover supervisors – what are the differences?

Posted on March 18, 2015 at 2:45 pm

Supply teachers have always been the go-to force to stand in when teachers are either absent or unable to teach their usual classes. Being called in either on the day, or the day before, supply teachers are fully qualified members of staff who are able and willing to cover any lessons. Often, supply teachers are brought into schools when a staff member is due to be off for a substantial period of time.

Cover supervisors, on the other hand, are a relatively new position in schools. Since the government changed their agendas, schools have found it is usually a lot cheaper to employ full time Cover supervisors, rather than hiring supply teachers. Cover supervisors again, cover any lessons in school. They do not have to plan lessons, more they deliver work which has been prepared by teachers already. Cover supervisors are sometimes used as additional support, seeing as they are employed directly by schools.
